Konark the "SUN TEMPLE" is so rich in sculptureal wealth and the wonderful architectureal spleners that it cannot be compared with any other existing in the world. A glimpse at the herculian task of construction makes the people wonder as to how the colossal stones were lifted to such a height and used with so much accuracy, infusing into them the life and beauty. In the monument nothing is silent , nothing ismotionless, nothing is barren or sterile. It seems stones are running like frisky, spirited horses dragging the chariot at it's top most speed. The artists had tried their utmost to depict here each and every event in life , such as the social custom, war, haunting, piligrimages, trade and the free mixing of women with their lovers.
